KARA-OK?

New Music Theatre by Music Theatre Lab

A group of old friends meet at a Karaoke bar for a 15 year graduation reunion. As they catch up we explore in a light hearted manner anxiety, depression and society's sometimes unhelpful reactions to those problems via their interactions and varied musical numbers.

The performance group worked together in creating a new piece of music-theatre, with an open-minded definition of that term, where different ideas came together and created a whole. Creation of music happened simultaneously alongside other aspects of theatre, where all art forms informed one another and develop together towards performance.
